Faith Journeys Expansion

We are excited to share all that God has been doing with Faith Journeys these last few months. We relocated our main office to North Georgia shortly after our last Ecuador mission trip in August, The transition went smoothly and our initial plan was to run Faith Journeys as it has run before, (simply out of a different location). The Lord had different plans, though, and we are thrilled to see how much bigger His dreams are than even our own.

We are excited to announce that we have an addition to our leadership team who will actually be leading teams out of Orlando on behalf of Faith Journeys. Brandon Green, who went on our last trip, has expressed a passion for missions and has an innate ability to teach and lead others. She brings a wealth of experience and Biblical knowledge, and more importantly, she has an incredible heart for Jesus. Brandon will be leading the charge for our next Ecuador team that leaves out of Orlando March 11. Please be praying that the Lord would draw those He wants to participate in this journey with us, as the deadline to apply is November 5. Find out more.

With the addition of Brandon to our team, we are now able to disciple and launch teams, out of both the North Georgia and Central Florida areas. Above all, discipleship is our hearts' call and we are thrilled that God has brought this woman of God to stand with us and help bring many more closer to the King. With God's help, we will have teams leaving out of 3 locations within 2017. Stay tuned for more information on our soon-to-be Southern California location.

Speaking of growing... the Lord has led us to add another global partner this year and they are based in Ghana. Finding a partner here has been on our hearts since first hearing about Lake Volta in 2014. This lake is based off the coast of Ghana and is the largest man-made reservoir in the world. Over 50,000 children are put to work on this lake as fishermen, and it is estimated that 60% of them were sold and/or kidnapped into this role. Children as young as four years old, risk their lives diving into the water and pulling up nets before dawn with many drowning as a result.

Thankfully, local authorities are working with the International Justice Mission to rescue many of these children, Once they are rescued, our partner, City of Refuge Ministries (CORM) helps to offer safe housing, education, and holistic (for their body, mind, and spirit) restoration. In addition to their restoration efforts, CORM aims to prevent exploitation at its' roots by growing awareness of childhood slavery within the community and empowering individuals to achieve personal and community goals. When the community flourishes, the risk of children being sold into slavery goes down exponentially.

Interested in joining us? Our first mission trip to Ghana is scheduled to leave out of Atlanta July 15-24. The Deadline to apply is March 5. Find out More.

By God's grace, Faith Journeys is now able to partner in Ghana, Mozambique, and Ecuador. We partner financially, spiritually, and practically in all three areas and are blessed to be a part of what God is doing in these regions. Will you partner with us? Your monthly donations are 100% tax-deductible and will go towards eradicating childhood slavery, sharing the Gospel with the Unreached, and discipling the youth in each of these areas. Donate Now.
