Thank you for taking this step of faith.
Your contribution will have an eternal impact.
March 2025, a team will be heading to Ghana to serve our partners who have played an integral role in rescuing and rehabilitating children out of human trafficking.

Our team will spend half the time working at The Children's Village within City of Refuge Ministries (CORM). Many of these children were living in fishing communities and forced to fish the lake and arrive at CORM years behind in school, with physical and psychological ailments requiring specialized attention. The children attend Faith Roots International Academy, where they are taught in small groups and instruction is focused to bring each child up to their particular grade level. With many different dialects in Ghana, the children are all taught to read and write in English so they can better communicate with each other and the staff.

Our partners have seen amazing improvements in the children who have grown to call CORM home, and they give all glory to God for that. The children participate in weekly prayer night, Bible study, and morning devotional. Their school curriculum is taught from a Christian perspective and the result of being immersed in all of this has been tremendous healing and a deep-rooted faith in Christ.
City of Refuge also works with single mothers to teach them a trade and how to read and write English, as part of a 3-year discipleship program. Women who sign up for this are taught how to run their own business and are given their own sewing machine upon graduation. By empowering these women, CORM is working to fight human trafficking before it starts.

As part of their outreach initiatives and overall goal to stop human trafficking before it starts, CORM has developed relationships with remote communities based on Lake Volta. Many of these communities have little knowledge of the saving grace of God and CORM works to build relationship with the community leaders, providing medical intervention, access to well water and carrying the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Recently, City of Refuge inaugurated their first Mission Outreach Center in the Bejamase Community, which operates as a home base for short term mission teams. Our team will be serving this community as well while in Ghana and will have an opportunity to love on and witness to the people living in this remote area, traveling well over 7 hours by bus, ferry, and canoe to reach them.
We do ask for your support as we prepare for this journey. Each of us have stepped out in faith to join this team and your financial and prayerful support is greatly appreciated. All donations are tax-deductible and can be made directly through this site or via check, mailed to the address below (please add name of volunteer you are supporting on a sticky note).

Thank you so much for joining this journey with us. We could not do it alone.
