Volunteering in Ghana to Support Orphans and Single Mothers

This November, Faith Journeys will lead a team to support orphans and single mothers who call City of Refuge their home. This initiative also marks the 19th anniversary of efforts made by City of Refuge to combat human trafficking and provide a home to children and families in need.

The Mission Ahead

Ghanaian orphans and single mothers are faced with significant challenges that limit their chances for a better life. According to a UNICEF report, around 2.5 million children in Ghana are orphans, often due to illness or poverty. These children struggle daily with economic hardships, lack of access to quality education, and limited emotional support. Fortunately, organizations like City of Refuge are at the forefront, providing assistance and fostering sustainable change through targeted programs.

Celebrating 19 Years of Progress

By joining this volunteer effort, participants will honor the progress made by City of Refuge over the past 19 years. This organization has focused its work on combating human trafficking, rescuing those affected, and advocating for orphans and single mothers. Since its inception, City of Refuge has directly supported hundreds of individuals, helping them escape from danger and build a better future.
